The adventure-project L'HYDROPTERE 2.0 was born following the rescue of L'Hydroptère in Hawaii on June 28, 2019, with the mission of making L'Hydroptère fly again and giving it a new life in the service of innovation and the general interest.
After bringing L'Hydroptère back to France in March 2023, the L'HYDROPTERE 2.0 team is now working on her refit to "put her back on foils". But not to break new speed records: its mission is now to take on board experiments from laboratories and companies for a very wide range of research projects, ideally in support of the energy transition: materials, aerodynamics, hydrodynamics, mechanical and electronic systems, sensors...
The goal is to give new meaning to L'Hydroptère by giving companies and laboratories access to a converted zero CO2 emission test platform.
From 2025, an association will also be offering the possibility of onboard peoples for a flight over the ocean, to share the thrill of hydrofoil flight with as many enthusiasts as possible.
Eventually, L'Hydroptère will be passed on to future generations in the same way as Eric Tabarly's famous Pen Duick or the famous three-masted Belem.

In July 2022, L'Hydroptère.ch joins the project L'HYDROPTERE 2.0 alongside its big brother L'Hydroptère, reunited for the first time, to resume its life as a flying laboratory-sailboat, also carrying out experiments on board.
Back in the water on March 22, 2024 in Nantes, France, L'Hydroptère.ch completed its first 2 test campaigns a few weeks later for France's largest defense shipbuilder.
